Sunday Strategy January 26 - February 1

What a yucky week I had!!! I made it to the gym on Monday night, but after that, I was very sick all week long. Not fun at all. I felt horrible for my student intern; she definitely did not see a good side of me in the classroom, and got her own workout in the kindergarten realm whilst trying to take up my slack. What was wrong with me? Heck if I know. It started off as a severe head cold that turned into some sort of awful stomach thing. I never actually tossed up my cookies or blew any gaskets, but Lordy did I feel like I was going to...for six whole days! I felt so bad that I stayed home on Thursday. On the bright side, I lost 3 pounds.

This week should be a relatively easy one. Coming up...

  • gym after dinner

  • grade level meeting @ noon

Sunday Strategy January 19-25

Last week turned out to be even more busy than I though. There ended up being a basketball game every night except Monday. We didn't go to the one Friday...I was basketballed out. It was the kids' weekend to be with their 'others,' so Chris and I ordered a pizza and didn't leave the house. I was in bed at 10 p.m. It was so nice. Oh and I felt HORRIBLE all week, thanks to my Aunt Flo, so the gym never happened.

This week looks to be MUCH less intense.

Monday:

  • mentor meeting after school
  • gym after dinner
Tuesday:
  • grade level meeting at noon
  • basketball game (Lefty)
Wednesday: (usually the most hectic day of the week)
  • grade level meeting with admin at noon
  • theater practice for Boo til 4
  • geometry tutoring for Boo @ 5:30
  • gym during tutoring
  • Criminal Minds!!!
Thursday:
  • gym after dinner
Friday: (it's supposed to snow again)
  • mentor meeting after school?
  • KIDS WEEKEND
  • Lefty has away basketball game (we aren't going)
Saturday:
  • IT'S BOO'S 15TH BIRTHDAY!!!
  • special plans for the day (weather permitting)

Sunday Strategy January 12-18

Whelp, I already missed the first week of these...see what I mean about resolutions? Oh well! I am here today!!! This week is going to be just average on the busy scale. Things tend to get really crazy from January through the tenth or so of June. March slows down a little bit, thank goodness, because basketball season is over and baseball hasn't yet begun. So what is happening during the 2nd full week of January?

Monday:

  • after school meeting with 'mentee' (I am mentoring a first year teacher, and we meet every Monday afternoon and Wednesday at noon)
  • Lefty - cheer practice (not sure what time she will be home yet, usually 4:30)
  • Boo - cheer @ away basketball game
  • Crockpot Chicken and dumplins' for dinner
  • gym (after dinner)

Tuesday:

  • grade level planning meeting @ 12:45
  • gym (after school)
  • Lefty - talent show try-outs after school
  • Lefty - cheer @ home basketball game @ 7
  • left-overs from the weekend for dinner

Wednesday:

  • 'mentee' meeting @ noon
  • planning meeting with principal and grade level @ 12:45
  • gym with Boo after school
  • Lefty - youth group
  • dinner: chicken lo mein
  • CRIMINAL MINDS!!!

Thursday:

  • Boo - cheer at home basketball games (2)
  • dinner: crockpot french dip sandwiches

Friday:

  • gym (after school)
  • adults only weekend!!! (no plans)

Saturday:

  • NO PLANS = school planning, cleaning, cooking, crafting

Along with all of that (it doesn't look so bad lined out like that!), I have a student teacher coming to work in my classroom from a local university. I am not really sure what day she will be coming to start the semester though, because we ended up having two more snow days...one being on the day that she was scheduled to come and meet me. We will handle it however it happens though. I am excited to have her!
