Let Me Introduce Myself

My name is Jeri Lynne. Yes, it is a two-name name, and yes, I like them both...at the same time. When I was a kid, I hated it. I wanted to be just Jeri. Then, in my twenties, I decided to change the spelling to Jerilyn. I was talked out of this by an elderly woman who had 'legally' changed the spelling of her name and had nothing but drama because of it for the rest of her life. So I remain Jeri Lynne. It's pretty in a Southern kind of way, I suppose.

ANYWAY, I love to craft; specifically, creating floral arrangements and wreaths. I am learning to crochet and to quilt (anyone that knows me would say I am an old soul). I love to work on both and wish I had more time (and space) to devote to them. Reading takes me to places I have never been, and is an escape from reality for me when I need it most. Music is much the same. I've always believed that a little retail therapy never hurt anyone, and I have also recently found a new personal therapy...my garden. Oh, and this is me at my favorite place in the world:

In August 2010, I married the love of my life. I will be honest, it is my third marriage...but in my case, the third time has been a charm. My husband is my best friend, my protector, my lover, and my partner; I would have it no other way. I love our life together. It consists of my daughters, Lefty (16) and Boo (14), and Chris' son, The Boy (12), and daughter, Loo (10).

When they were little...

And now that they are not so little...
In my other life, I teach kindergarten. I know, you thought I was going to say that I am a supermodel. Now you are shocked, but let me just say that teaching kindergarten is much more glamorous. I can be anything I want to be in that classroom: doctor, lawyer, the most beautiful woman in the world, friend, counselor, actor, author...you name it, I can be it. I get more hugs than the average person, and I get special presents every day. Where else do you get so many heartfelt accolades such as these? Yep, kindergarten is the place for me!

As you can see, I love my life. Are there things I would like to change? Sure...the predictable things about myself, which you will no doubt hear about often...but more or less, The Knight Life is close enough to perfect for me.
